For our American friends and family, this is a space made especially for you. you can find a few tips on where to stay, where to go, what to eat and etc, we want your trip to be the best one possible.

•Learn a couple of basic terms in Brazilian Portuguese.

- “Nao falo Portugues” = “I don’t speak Portuguese”.

- “Eu gostaria de uma cerveja porfavor” = “I would like a beer please”

- “Outra cerveja por favor” = “Another beer please”

-"Obrigado" / "Obrigada"  = "Thank you"

2. The Sugarloaf Enjoy a cable car ride up to embark on the 360 degree views surrounding traditional Rio De Janeiro. To reach the summit, passengers take two cable cars. The first ascends to the shorter Morro da Urca, where you can have a meal and drink at the new restaurant/bar. Shown on Right… The second car ascends to Pão de Açúcar to experience the full views. 3. LAGOA RODRIGO DE FREITAS - LAGOON You can have a very pleasant day visiting the lagoon Rodrigo de Freitas at Ipanema/ Leblon; You can find restaurants and bars around it, also go for a ride on the swan “pedalinhos”. If you are feeling the need for some exercise during your vacation, this is a gorgeous place for a walk / run around the lagoon

4. Pedra Bonita Yes! If you have courage, lets jump!!! You can have the incredible experience jumping from the top of the Pedra Bonita mountain and landing at Sao Conrado Beach. Or if you are not feeling adventurous, lets go only for the view! To the hang gliding deck is only 2 min walking from the parking lot. To get to the top of the Pedra Bonita mountain, it’s about 15 min walk, a very smooth hicking. It is breathtaking… To know more about the hang gliding, visit

5. Pier Maua This is a brand new area, that was renovated for the Olympics; it’s a complex of activities, you can find museums, food trucks, the graffiti walls, aquarium all located at Downtown Rio. You will have to reserve the whole morning/afternoon to visit Pier Maua. It is very easy to get there, you can use the brand new subway to downtown and from there you get the VLT (street car). 6. Beach Yes! Of course, the famous Ipanema Beach, Copacabana Beach, Barra da Tijuca Beach, Leme Beach, Prainha at Recreio… The most “carioca” thing to do is spend the day at the beach, drink some coconut water at the beach quioskes.

7. Paddle Boarding We have the prettiest site scene for paddle boarding. One Place we recommend is at Praia da Marambaia. 8. Night Life 1. Rio Scenarium - Rio is famous for the beach and day time activities, but of course “cariocas” know how to party. Rio Scenarium is a multilevel bar with eclectic, vintage accents for pub fare & cocktails, plus live music & dancing. Line start to get big after 9 pm, so plan to get there before that, and the party goes all the way to the sun rise.

2. Bar da Urca – After a long day at the beach or something more relaxed to do is drink a beer at Urca. A very famous spot for the locals is the “mureta”, a wall where you can sit, enjoy the view and have some drinks. Get there early or you will not find a spot to sit.

3. Bar Jobi – This bar is located at Leblon, is a local pub with a cozy interior that has cold draft beer & appetizers from Portugal & Brazil.

Churrasco - Fogo de Chao – If you are in Brazil, you must have to experience the “churrasco”, the famous barbecue where you can sit and put your card green and the meat will come to you, all the day if you want. 5. Acai with fruits – this will be a thing that you will love it or hate it! But all “cariocas” love it! After the beach is a must 6. Fruit Juices – almost everywhere you go it will have fresh squeezed fruit juices. 7.At the beach you must try the famous “o globo” buiscuit. And the “mate de galao”, that is the natural tea with or without lemonade 8. Pizza for ever – like the barbecue, we have Places that serve pizza for a X price and you eat all you can eat.
